L'assemblée was founded in 2026 on a simple conviction: that meaningful relationships, across generations, are worth preserving.
Life moves on. Cities change, careers begin, circumstances shift, and the people who once shared everyday life gradually see less of one another. At the same time, generations that could learn from one another too often remain apart.
L'assemblée exists to bring both together. A small circle of friends, gathered around the same table year after year, joined by guests whose experience, perspective and story can open a different kind of conversation.
We believe there is value in sitting down with those who came before us, not to be instructed, but to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions and understand one another better.
None of us knows where life will take us in ten or twenty years. What we do know is that there will always be a table to return to, with familiar faces, honest conversation and, from time to time, a new voice from another generation.

How We Meet
We gather one to two times a year for an evening dinner in Switzerland. Each assembly is shaped by a distinct thematic nuance: be it a guest’s unique perspective, a guiding question, or a focus topic, ensuring that every evening is a purposeful exchange.
Membership is by invitation only, establishing a lifelong bond once accepted. It is a commitment to continuity and intimacy, where every member arrives fully engaged, ready to contribute to a shared legacy of thought and friendship.
